Transportation Guide
From Beijing: Self-driving: Take the Jingzang Expressway (formerly Badaling Expressway) to the Jiningyi exit, go west for 500 meters, and you will find the east gate ticket office on the south side of the road; Public transportation: Take a train from Beijing Station, Beijing North Station, or Beijing West Station to Shacheng, Huailai County, the journey takes about 2-3 hours, and the ticket price is 9-20 yuan. After arriving in Shacheng, you can take bus No. 304 at the bus station to Jiningyi directly.
From Zhangjiakou: Take a high-speed rail or train to Xiaguan North Station, and then transfer to Huailai County bus No. 304 to Jiningyi directly.
Ticket Information
Ticket Price: Adult ticket 40 yuan, students, seniors aged 60 (inclusive) to 69 (inclusive) enjoy a half-price of 20 yuan with valid documents; Seniors aged 70 and above, children under 1.2 meters or 6 years old (inclusive), active military personnel, and disabled people enjoy free admission with valid documents.
Tour Route
• Recommended route: East City Gate Square → Cultural Exhibition Hall → East City Gate → City Wall → Horse Road → Cixi Palace → Taishan Palace → Wenchang Palace → Caishen Temple.
• Tour time: It is recommended to reserve 2-3 hours. If time permits, you can stroll on the city wall and feel the charm of the ancient city.
• Photo spots: Jining Mountain is a good place for taking photos. Standing at the corner of the east and north city walls, the sunset and Jining Mountain complement each other. In addition, the area between the north and west city gates is also a good place to capture the beautiful scenery of the village at sunset.
