He Family Courtyard—Yu Da Guesthouse
The He family compound served as the former command headquarters and was one of the most impressive buildings in the entire post town. The courtyard is filled with brick and tile houses adorned with carvings of dragons and phoenixes. The adjacent cross-courtyard is the "Yu Da Guesthouse" where we stayed. The front is unremarkable. The first courtyard is the entrance to the guesthouse. The second courtyard houses the guesthouse's accommodations.
